NATO Cinema Buying Group and Cinedigm Bring Digital Cinema to Members of All Sizes

Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. announced Times Square Cinema, a Texas six-pled, has signed an agreement to deploy digital projection systems as part of Cinedigm’s 10,000 screen Phase 2 digital cinema deployment program. Cinedigm is working with many small exhibitors using a newly completed contract template developed for the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) Cinema Buying Group (CBG) members.

Great Escape Selects Christie Digital Cinema Projectors to Light Up 174 Screens

Christie announced that Great Escapes Theatres purchased 174 Christie digital cinema projectors, which utilize Texas Instruments DLP Cinema technology.

The 14th largest theater chain in North America, Great Escape has already installed twelve Christie projectors to support the premiere of “Avatar” in 3D; the rest will be in place before the summer. The chain also contracted Christie Managed Services for round-the-clock support and maintenance.

The match will not be shown on television – either terrestrial or subscriber.
